"Currently on a roadtrip from Cairns to Melbourne and was recommended this place thanks to Instagram. We are both HUGE foodies and love eating at new places and judge every aspect of it together like master chefs lol. But all jokes aside, this was such a pleasant surprise. Located in a quieter corner in Bellingen, we went in without a booking and got lucky. EVERY SINGLE DISH was 10/10. Service was amazing and attentive, friendly but efficient too. Wine list was diverse and yummy. I’ve always loved stopping over in Belli but now I have another new reason to do so."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Charlie’s at Church feels like a trattoria straight out of Italy – vibrant, friendly and full of flavour. We loved the burrata with basil greens and oven-baked asparagus with truffle emulsion, with that puffed bread to soak up every drop. The Bangalow pork with sage and caper sauce was incredible, and the beetroot tortellini with lemon butter and ricotta was a standout. Everything’s made in-house with beautiful local produce, the service was super attentive, and Selena’s wine picks were spot on. And the tiramisu – honestly, ones of the best I’ve ever had!"

"AMAZING!! Cannot give Charlie’s at Church enough stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We drove from Brisbane to Coffs Harbour to visit a friend and she recommended Charlie’s, so we booked for the Saturday night. The food was divine, now tied in first place, of all the Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at! We woke up Sunday talking about the food and called to book again for the Sunday night, before we had to drive back to Brisbane. It was the best decision, as not only did we have another spectacular meal, but we saved room for dessert. The tiramisu and Orange Chocolate Mousse (not sure of its proper name) were heavenly. Everything from the atmosphere, cleanliness and friendly staff to the ever changing menu, just make it a wonderful experience. This is a destination Restaurant that you must visit!"

"My partner and I went to Charlie’s last night for my birthday dinner. Sharing two entrees the Byron bay handmade burrata, basil oil & leaves plus grilled scallops with herbs and butter. For our main we chose Tortellini of Fraser Island Spanner crab, roasted crab butter, tarragon and chilli. We weren’t going to have dessert but then they surprised me with a bowl of their homemade raspberry sorbet topped with a little candle..I was thrilled and the sorbet was devine. Every dish was thoroughly delicious!!! We always go to Charlie’s for our special events as they make our evening feel so special. From the attentive waitstaff, fabulous chefs to the extra touches coordinated by Selina. I love the way the menu is based around fresh local produce and always deliver amazing dishes. Thank you to everyone at Charlie’s on Church we look forward to our next visit."

"Four starving rain forest hikers and Charlie’s was sold out for the night. But the food looked too good to pass up! We ordered food for take away and ate on park benches. Could not have been better if we ate inside. Perfect pizzas, mushrooms to die for, just delicious! Always find a way to dine in a delicious spot, an impromptu bench might make a memorable experience. And to add to the memories, we bought wine at Tooheys to add to our experience. Just buy their food for take away and you will be very happy!"

"The best restaurant experience in Sydney since moving back from abroad. Food is top notch quality, restaurant staff were all so welcoming, and best of all they are the biggest dog people and spoiled her with their very own house made beef liver treats! We enjoyed it so much we came back for dinner again the following day. If you only have one opportunity to have a really nice dinner in Bellingen, go to Charlie’s at church. You won’t regret it."

"Both myself and my wife booked for a Saturday which was bustling and the food was great as well as atmosphere. My wife ordered the Mefalda dish with lamb sauce as myself I ordered the Chongilie dish. Both were great. The dish itself ran out due to popularity but the staff was great in accomodating my wife and offered the same dish but with duck instead of lamb. I will say maybe a little bit too much rosemary in general but overall great."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute legends. I’ve been buying dough balls from Charlie’s to cook pizzas at home in my Gozney and they are honestly 10/10, perfect every time and make it way too easy to cook up a storm. The crew are always super accommodating and make sure the dough is fresh and ready to go. Last night they went above and beyond sorted out some extra balls after hours and even threw in a complimentary tiramisu for dessert. Completely unexpected and very appreciated. Great food, great people, and proper hospitality. Thanks team you’ve got a customer for life."
